Model-Driven Composable MES Advanced (System Integrators only)

The Model-Driven Composable MES Advanced course is a 5-day, Virtual Instructor-Led Training designed to provide detailed understanding of the Model-Driven Manufacturing Execution System (MES) framework with its associated best practices the Composable MES concept that completes the Model Driven one by providing a means to facilitate the development of a MES application via a structured approach that enhances reusability and solves by just configuration some common parts that till now have been requiring writing code

The course will also provide an overview of common concepts that are useful to know when setting up an application based on AVEVA MES, as well as best practices and rules to follow in order to guarantee a consistent approach that facilitates reusability and reduction of the amount of code in such applications.

Topics and concepts will be presented in lectures with a strong orientation to their practical usage and reinforced through hands-on Labs.  The practical Labs are built around the idea of setting up an application on a practical simple project case, in subsequent phases starting with parts that are already available as part of the Libraries and extending those to match specific requirements.

Upon completion of this course, you will be able to:

  • Get Core Principles of Model-Driven MES vs Traditional Approach
  • Understand Composable MES and its low-code/no-code Potential for an Approach based on “what we have” rather than “what we can do”
  • Learn the Fundamentals for Using Composable MES in Actual projects
  • Learn Best Practices and Rules of Composable MES that favor reusability of code

Topics:

  • Model Driven MES Concepts & Architecture
  • Composable MES Concepts & Architecture
  • Low-code Configurability of Composable MES
  • Best Practices and Ruleset for Composable MES
  • Modules & Use Cases Provided by Composable MES
  • Variations and Enrichment of Modules and Use Cases
  • Creation / Integration of New Modules and Use Cases

Practice:

  • Build the Plant Model for MES and System Platform
  • Project Functionality with just Standard Composable MES
  • Configure Composable MES for Project Functionality
  • Obtain Project Functionality by Combining Standard Composable MES + Variations
  • Integrate Additional Modules and Use Cases
  • Augment Project Functionality by Creating New Composable MES Modules and Use Cases
  • Connect to External Applications via MQTT and AMQP
  • Knowledge & Understanding of Main MES Concepts
  • Experience in MES related Application Projects
  • Mastering MD MES related AVEVA Products: System Platform, MES, WorkTasks
  • Base Knowledge of Programming in: SQL, Javascript, Vbscript (System Platform scripting)
  • Attended Introduction to Model-Driven MES Training Class

The Advanced Model Driven & Composable MES Training is strongly based on technical and functional topics and their appliance to practical cases, in addition to including a significant portion of hands-on activity for executing Labs.

The ideal audience is then technical / functional architects and engineers involved in Projects, Proof Of Concepts, Demos, etc regarding AVEVA MES Applications, including Project Delivery, Application Technical Support, PreSales

The Training is not suited for pure sales, project management or other non-technical roles.
