What’s Changing in 2025-2026?

AVEVA has redesigned several components of its certification structure to ensure higher product expertise, better solution alignment, and improved customer outcomes.

1. Engineer-Level Certification Only

Certification is now tied to individuals, not the company as a whole. This ensures that validated technical expertise sits with the people doing the work.

2. Updated Exam Validity Rules

  1. Valid for the current and previous product version
  2. Or valid for two years for SaaS solutions

This improves accuracy and ensures partners stay up-to-date with the latest product capabilities.

3. Introduction of ‘Solution Certifications’

These replace the older Program Certifications and align expertise with complete solution areas rather than individual products.

4. Annual Reference Deployment Requirement

Partners must now provide one reference project per product each year.

  1. Multiple product references can be combined in a single customer project.
  2. Upgrades and renewals now qualify as valid references.

This change allows partners to leverage ongoing customer engagements, not only net-new projects.

Why These Changes Matter

During the program review, AVEVA identified:

  1. Many partners with outdated exams, and
  2. Cases where required certifications were spread across multiple engineers, creating compliance issues.

To avoid disrupting partner status, AVEVA introduced a grace period.

Grace Period Deadline: July 1, 2026

Partners currently holding Certified or Endorsed status will be grandfathered, but only temporarily.

By July 1, 2026:

  1. All certification gaps must be closed
  2. All reference requirements must be met

Partners failing to meet the new criteria risk changes to their partner level.

This also opens opportunities: Member-level partners can elevate their standing by completing the updated requirements.
